PADI Instructor Development Course

Turn Your Passion for Diving Into a Professional Career

Ready to take the next step in your dive career? Our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is designed to prepare experienced PADI Divemasters and other qualified dive professionals to become confident, knowledgeable, and effective PADI Instructors.

Our IDC goes beyond simply preparing you to pass the Instructor Examination. You’ll develop the teaching skills, presentation techniques, dive knowledge, and professional confidence needed to lead divers and teach PADI courses in the real world.

More Than an IDC — Professional Preparation

Throughout the course, you’ll work closely with experienced instructor educators in a supportive, hands-on environment. Training combines classroom instruction, confined-water sessions, and open-water training to give you experience applying instructor-level teaching techniques in realistic situations.

You’ll work on:

• PADI teaching standards and procedures

• Knowledge development and dive theory

• Confined-water teaching techniques

• Open-water teaching presentations

• Student supervision and risk management

• Rescue and problem-solving skills

• Effective classroom presentations

• Demonstration-quality diving skills

• Course planning and student management

• Professionalism and customer care

• Preparing for the PADI Instructor Examination

Built for the Real World

Becoming an instructor is about more than earning another certification. It’s about learning how to manage students, teach effectively, communicate clearly, and operate confidently as a dive professional.

Our IDC incorporates practical scenarios and instructor-development exercises designed to help you transition from divemaster to educator.

Whether your goal is to work at a dive center, teach while traveling, develop a career in technical or public-safety diving, or eventually operate your own dive business, we’ll help you build the foundation for your next step.
